Prep
Old concrete out, ground dug to level, formwork set and steel laid. This is the stage that decides whether it cracks, so it is the stage we do not rush.
Pour
Our own crew and our own pumps, so a tight side access or a rear yard is a booking, not a problem. Poured, screeded and levelled to the falls.
Finish & seal
Washed back, stamped, honed or floated depending on what you picked — then cut, cleaned and sealed. We tell you when you can walk it and drive it.

Four pumps of our own — two 36 metre booms, a 17 metre boom for tight set-ups and a 2024 Zoomlion 100R line pump — with our own licensed operators. That is why a tight side access, a rear yard or a first floor pour is a booking rather than a problem — on a house or on a shed.

The things
homeowners ask.
How much does exposed aggregate cost?
It depends on the size, the access, how much prep there is and which stone you pick — so anyone who quotes you a per-metre rate down the phone is guessing. What we can tell you is that exposed aggregate sits above plain grey and below honed and polished, and that the prep underneath is usually the part that moves the price, not the finish on top. We quote free, on site, in writing.
How long before I can walk on it and drive on it?
Rough rule: stay off it for 24 to 48 hours, keep it clear of vehicles for a week, and go easy on it for the first month while it comes up to strength. We will give you the actual numbers for your job before we leave, because weather changes them — a cold wet week and a hot dry one are not the same pour.
Will it crack?
All concrete moves. What stops movement turning into an ugly crack is the prep and the control joints — the ground compacted properly, the right steel in it, and cuts put in at the right spacing while it is still young. That is why we do not rush stage two, and why we cut joints rather than hoping.
Do I need to seal it, and how often?
Exposed aggregate and decorative finishes are worth sealing — it lifts the colour, keeps oil and leaf stains out of the surface and makes it easier to hose off. We seal before we hand the job back. After that, expect to re-seal every few years depending on how much sun and traffic it gets.
Can you take out my old driveway first?
Yes. Demolition, removal and carting away is part of what we do, along with the digging and levelling underneath. You do not need a separate excavation mob — we bring our own bobcat, tipper and excavator.
The only access is down the side of the house. Is that a problem?
No, and that is the advantage of us owning the pumps. A line pump will run the mix down a side path or through a gate, and the boom pump will send it over the roof if it has to. Plenty of back yards get concreted that way. Tell us about the access on the enquiry and we will work out which pump the job needs.
Can I match the colour to my house?
Usually pretty closely. Colour comes through the mix as an oxide rather than as a coating, and the stone you choose changes the look as much as the colour does. We bring samples to the quote so you are picking off a real piece of concrete in your own daylight, not off a screen.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are a registered building practitioner and we carry public liability and workers compensation. If your council or builder needs paperwork before we start, just ask and we will send it through.
